 I want y'all to see the symbolism here...

I am deployed currently and you know, war is hell.
I see a whole lot of hypocrisy and bad stuff out here.
I was out in the 'smoke pit' with my friend and he found
a lady bug and was just letting it crawl over his hand.

We cant ever forget that preservation of life is more valuable than gold. If there is no respect for human life, there is no limit to the destruction that can happen, even if there is no physical war.

I cropped the image and then transfered it into black and white. I used photomatix for some tone mapping as well.
After that i used a diffused glow and i then did a little bit of cloning out some really pixelated shadows from the photomatix thing.

Seems more like a drawing to me than a photo.

really like the comp but the contrast feels a little weird, the conversion to bw took away from it

nice, very emotive image, although i feel that the main subject is not the hands but the little bug

Very beautiful moment captured. very different processing technique. (I want to see the original after the challenge is over) I never thought i would have liked an image like this, just not my style, but i love it. Can't wait to see how DPC likes it.
