What a beautiful, natural smile. It looks to me like the soft focus is actually the water spraying up, but it doesn't really matter. Great capture and processing. |

Excellent capture. I can empathize, my oldest daughter hated having her picture taken. Even when she would allow it all she could muster was a forced smile. Capturing her in any relaxed pose was nearly impossible. Well done! |

Ahh, from Old World Abby. She is bright and photogenic, too bad she doesn't love the lens pointing at her. This is a very fun and happy feeling photo.
BTW, I love the texture and framing on this.

Great, Sandy! Precious Photo! Great eyes! Great smile! Great very real kind of personality!
I like who you used selective blurring and torn-edge border to creative a photo from when we were kids. Great Job! :) (I wonder if it would help to set your shutter release on rapid-fire, then start shooting while calling her when her back is turned.
It has worked repeatedly for me. Shanna's not looking. I call her name. She looks! I snap! That's sort of the relationship we have. :) |

Beautiful capture, and I love the semi-soft focus.
I also love the story that goes with it -- reminds me of my grandson. He's getting better, but for awhile there was no way he wanted his grandmother to take his picture. He was a Moving Target. This is my favorite shot of him from that period. He was hiding behind the sofa. |

Great capture of a joyful moment for both of you. I know the feeling with having a child not wanting to be photographed. I have to promise things like later bed-times and extra time on the net etc. But all in all he cooperates with his dad and I love him for it. |

I know what ya mean @ loving them so much. Im the same way with the only little boy in my family (my nephew). My oldest hates to have her photo taken too and the only "bribe" that works for me is to promise that if she smiles and lets me get one good photo ill leave her alone. but of course shes 12 and can be reasoned with...sorta.
i think you did an awesome job on capturing how much joy she is having. b&w tones are superb (of course!) and i love the glow!
