I like the lighting on the buildings along the right side of the picture. The lady on the bike in the foreground adds interest to the picture. |

Vey atmospheric and lots of contrasting light - a good candidate for tone mapping ? |

Normally I'm a B&W girl (and I do like the B&W version) but I have to admit the color works very well for this, too. |

oh! this is so great on so many levels for me..primero, mi piace moltisimo L'Italia!!
next, the story is just LOL ~leaves me wondering about the poor sod who ends up without a bike..like the cheese who stands alone..so (s)he has to walk home? aww!!
the street ecene is great and I can look all day at the old architecture and the streetlife that is Europe, and the wonderful sound of Italian...
thanks for the dose of laughter and fabulous Italy! |

Wonderful light for an intriguing street scene. Funny story. I'd have a hard time not being bothered by a stolen bicycle. Too much attachment, I guess. |

Part of the reason it looks tilted is that the tower in the background (like many many similar towers in this country) isn't actually straight, it leans slightly. As a future shot I might do some kind of round up of the "Leaning towers of Ferrara", there are at least 3 that I can think of off the top of my head...
edit for spelling... schools these days..

Very interesting story. I think rather than steal bikes back and forth I would opt to just walk.
I agree with Hot-Pixel, the image does look tilted. I'm not sure rotating will fix it as it seems lens distortion may be part of it. If you use PS you could try crop with perspective box checked and correction made.

I love the story behind the photo. This photo really has depth with the archetecture running back from the foregound. I love to see the old styles of Italy so different than the USA. Lots of lovely historic buildings.
Dont know if it is just me, but the photo feels a bit tipped to the right. A quick CCW rotation would right it. |
