nice composition, but the monument seems to point my eyes away from the picture. Maybe a more vertical approach?

Good contrast with the blossoms and the leaves. (I miss that place. Lived there last year this time).

Very nice. I have a few Tidal Basin shots of my own this year but I didn't enter any. Such a lovely walk; it's worth it even with all the tourists ;-) You managed to have the monument and trees take center stage, as they should.
