Heal brush to remove moles and wrinkles around the eyes.
New levels layer - auto levels
Unsharpen mask
Gaussian Blur
Fade gaussian blur - soft light
New hue/sat layer - partiall desat yellow and red
Flatten image
Change resolution to 72dpi
sharpen
save as jpeg

IMHO, her expression is not one of bliss...the deep furrow of her brow makes her appear uncomfortable. The dark shadow from her face on the bed is distracting, and the sheet is blown out on the left. Those together, with things mentioned below, are reasons why this scored a 5.2. The lamp, cut off at the top of the frame in the background, also kind of sticks out with no real purpose for being there. The pose/model/etc is all OK but the lighting and the composition really make this not work as well as it could. Again, it's just my 2c worth. ;)

i think why this image scored a 5.2 is for a several reasons, mostly in the details. The lighting, personally i think this shot doesnt lend itself to the lighting you choose, maybe if you had brought another light on the other side so that shadow wasnt so deep (but that is style, others may disagree). normally i would always side with a nice sharp, clean image, but i think in this application a soft focus would have been better, after all, its a soft, intimite scene. The angle is lovely, her body position is decent (i would have placed her hand on her breast not shoulder, personally) but theres nothing in the backround to make the image pop out. maybe a wider angle (or different one) would have helped.

a strangely vulnerable portrait, in spite of (or because of) its supposed subject matter. I also appreciate it for its originality. It simply looks like no other photo here. The tones are warm and soothing, the shapes bold, and the orientation on two planes is visually arresting.
