Interesting choice capturing the tail as opposed to the head. The effect actually adds to the creepiness, imo. I find myself looking around for the dangerous end.

a plain background would have created a stronger image

I like the pattern though I think the focus could be a little better IMHO

Wow that ground is hard to look at, you probably couldnt do much about it though. This would have been stronger if it was in focus because then the patern in the scales would have been shown also. Love the point of view though

nice shot a little blury but i see were you were going with it (the pattern) maybe if you had the entire snale it would of helped or maybe evern croping it just to the snakes body,

Interesting concept, three things are holding the picture back: the focus is off, the background is too busy and asphalt like and I would prefer to see the whole snake :)

Seems to lack contrast and sharpness.

Seems to have a little camera shake? Mind you, I'd be shaking that close to a snake!!

I would say a sharper focus would be good, but if this were my picture it would look just like this. The out of focus would be caused by me running as fast as i could in the opposite direction. On second though, perhaps I would be backing up slowly. Nevertheless, I would be getting away from there -- I don't like snakes.

Interesting contrast between the skin and the ground though.
