While I was grocery shopping, my wife wanted a pineapple. When she grabbed it, I realized that this fruit had quite a patterned skin. And to think, I was going to use a flower for my shot. This is way cooler.

Photoshop was simply convert from RAW, curves, levels, and usm. I did do some color adjustments in RAW to make everything stand out.

Hope everyone else sees the pattern....

Ahh, the humble pineapple. So univiting on the outside, but such a heart of gold.

good colours, would've liked more dof.

A very nice "found" pattern. I think the DOF is just a tad to narrow. I would have liked to see the right side of the pineapple in focus. The composition is pretty good. I like the unbalancedness of it. I am not a fan of the lighting here. Some diffused side lighting would have been more flattering IMO.

i would have loved this photo had the top part of the pineapple not been there. i think that takes away from the starkness of the contrast somehow. the colors are amazing!

Nice one ;-) An example of a Fibonacci sequence, I believe.
