Love the light and the detail on this one. Plants have an amazing geometric symmetry to them. Good catch. |

i gave this an 8. I liked to softness of teh curving pattern that you got in hsi fower ,whilst still keeping the background darker.
You have kept the details as sharp as possible in this, I am wondering if the angle could be a little differnt. The only reason I am saying this is the brown stalk is very much there, I am not sure if it is takign away from teh picture or not.
I am a lover of negative space, but also wondering if it was taken in just a tad bit on the left side, not much just a tad.
Overall, the pattern is soft and flowing the leading line of hte flower is great. |

You already got my input during voting, but I thought I would let you know I gave it a 7. |

Particularly at this time of year when there is only the anticipation of things coming back to life it makes me quite happy to see this picture. The multiple patterns are great with the obvious twist of the petals and the finer detailed veining of both the petals and the sepals and the wonderful contrast zig zag where the green sepals meet the pink of the petals. I love how the DOF is just right to be in focus from the curve of the stem to the tip of the petals. The more I see it the more I like it. |

I did like seeing this during the challenge. So soft and pretty - natural patterns at it's best. I love how the soft light is shining on it and makes it stand out from the background. |

I like the composition, I think the negative space is fine.
I think you might have done a little better if you could enhance the swirl somehow - quite tricky in basic though.
I love the colours in this. |

I thought this was very good for the challenge. Excellent job with the exposure to keep from overexposing the pink, and excellent detail in the veins of the unopened flower, and the green petals at the base. Nice!! |

There is quite a bit of dead space that doesn't need to be there. |

Nice. Very peaceful looking. Seems to have been caught in shadows. I'd suggest some adjustments to help bring out the details, but I suspect you have already done as much as you could without making it look unnatural. |

basically a good shot, but the texture in the petals is quite soft. A nice change from shots with flowers in full bloom, this tight furl. |
