an angle would have been nice rather than straightforward |

Wow, that's an interesting creature. I love the textures and details you captured contrasted with some very creamy bokeh. |

I've never seen a moth like this before. The defensive coloring on the wings is gorgeous (go nature!). The symmetry of shot is really nice. The background colors seem blown out, but other than that, good job. |

Very clear, well focused and detailed. It does not have a lot of pop to it though. It seems a little flat. I think some adjustments such as curves would really make this stand out. |

pretty pity about the light which is a bit flat! |

nice catch. composition could be improved IMO. I would liked to have the subject more towards the left (but I can understand that you may have decided to crop in this manner to minimize the highlights in the background which is also distracting). Good luck with the voters. |

Beautiful shot, would love to know what kind of moth that is. Apollo? Centering him a bit more would have helped with the challenge criteria. |

That's an amazing moth. Lighting is a bit flat from the flash. |

a greater closeup of the wings and the pattern in the middle, and a bit more sat, would improve this picture. |

A light dark but certainly fits the challenge |

I really like this shot. It shows beauty and also shows (at least) two different types of pattern. |
