He spent the whole time studiously NOT looking directly at me. I'd move closer, he'd shuffle to the side, just keeping the one eye on me, twitching his tail and desperately stuffing seeds into his mouth. Definitely could be sharper, but I was afraid that he would take off if I took too much time. Taken along the Cedar Bog hiking trail at Bird's Hill Provincial Park in Manitoba.

Shot with zoom lens and cropped, original in colour, levels, shadows/highlights and resized for web.

Nice looking squirrel. Like that you kept the empty space on the left half of the image, adds much more depth to the image than had you cropped it out.

I like the light and shadows, and how you've used DOF to make him stand out.

Wonderful capture - I like that he looks so busy. Just a bit sharper may have worked for me, but I see now that you've noted that - SMILE!

Very good shot despite his reluctance to model. I quite like the wisps of tree coming in on the left side in the background.

Oh, nice squirrel photo! They make the cutest subjects, don't they? I love watching them handle their food -- they look so human :)

Nice. I like Squirrel shots. Don't know why but I do. Since you're a little bit behind the critter as is, I'd might have cropped it a little tighter to get him slightly more out front. Good shot.
