We took the dogs - two St Bernards - to the sea-side this weekend and this is the best shot I got of them. My camera battery died on the way there, unfortunately, so this is the best shot I got on my iPaq - completely unprepared and very amateur. But I like it.

I like the texture of the ground but a little bit to much excess space

Love the nostalgic, ancient feeling of this.

St Bernard on a sand dune, not a snowy Alp? :0 Different, like the untold story here.

Really cool image. It has such a great feel. Maybe not super strong for the Challenge but who cares.

Interesting take on the challenge. I think the processing (sepia tones or whatever you used) is well done. however, the side of the dogs face is blacked out and it looks like she's missing an eye, at least on my monitor (calibrated with spyder 2)...4

The environment does not define the subject or their scenario any.
