This image has an appropriate use of DOF to suit the subject and not just the challenge. I also like the contrast in the clouds and the way the rusty barbed wire ties in with the color of the building. If the scene allowed it, shifting the shot to the right so that the green structure on the left could have been omitted might have helped.

not a blurry mess at all,this is a well composed ,well thought out image of barbed wire fence(in focus)
with a barn in the background(out of focus),nice as this is it dosent meet the challenge,5

teh eye is completely drawn to an odd tangent shared by both the wire and the building.
