Thanks for all the comments (well nearly all of them!) - I was not happy with the shadow but I could not do anything about it, I tried but limitations within the bedroom prevented this.

Is this a bed head? Very good abstract work, repetitive shadows very distracting and ineasy on the eyes however.

Either no shadow or a clearly difined shadow would have been better. The hint of a shadow is distracting.

It's the negative space, and the interesting shadows it contains, that makes this photo work well. I also like the gradient of the texture from rough to smooth.

A lot of people here aren't fond of symetry in photographs but I think in this case it adds to the beauty of the shot. I love the rich tone of the shot and the soft shadows as well.
