:-) Congratulations on the placing Alicia.
I can absolutely see why. This is a super use of blur to capture the sense of motion and rushing in a cafe
Great colours as well which gives the picture a real vivaciousness. I have to be honest and say i wondered how this challenge could be anything other than unpleasant to the eye....Thank you for showing me the answer
Great job |

I wondered if this was yours because of that other diner photo that you shot. lol the first thing that caught my eye was the ceiling fans. Then I am looking around and see the blur of the busy restaurant patrons. Lots to see here. Cool photo! |

You have such a knack with capturing the pulse of a place, Alicia. Stunning colors, love the great use of blur without being overbearing. Just a wonderful integration of all aspects. |

Back to comment and bump up :) My first thoughts upon seeing this, went immediately to Edward Hopper. Almost an inside out possible scene from Nighthawks. The motion is just enough to give it a painterly feel and not too much that it would blur the individual characters within. The strong colour and light add much to the sense of looking in on a bygone era. I feel this is one of the more well thought out and purposeful entries in this challenge and wish you the best of luck. |

I've been to this diner at 3 AM on a Sunday morning after a night out and it looks exactly like this. I thought it was just me.
Great capture. |

There are two places where my eye gets stuck in this photo - the left edge where the lady has half a head and the red blob in the middle. Needs something to make it "flow" |

You have shown the business of the diner very well....I like the colors, tones, composition, and story very much. Suites my taste greatly. |

Somehow this works for me. The blur adds the touch of life to an otherwise static scene. |

The more I study this... the more it grows on me. It's like an impressionist painting... telling the story, yet showing no details. Well done! |
