This is a great picture, lighting, DOF and coloring are near perfect. I would have cloned out the imperfections on the apple. Then you could sell this picture.

Back to comment. Great idea for the challenge. Nice red color. IMHO it might be a stronger image with a slightly larger crop - especially on top and to the right. Gave this a 7 earlier.
