This is great! You've got paired lights to make up for the trees! 8)
Wonderful b&w candid. |

Ohmygoodness! I love this one too! What an awesome "real life" moment you captured. It melts my heart seeing the barrenness of the scene, with the guy carrying the bouquet of flowers for his somebody. You are GOOD!!!!!

I liked your entry (and the pairs of trees and lamps with just the one guy) but this has a nifty kicky feel to it. |

puzzled, a very helpful comment indeed. You've revealed to me why I do indeed prefer this version. It is a question of dynamics. |

I like this one much better than the free study (sorry) on several levels: First, the wood planter thing is quite a distraction in the middle of the other picture, but here it's a wonderful leading line helping the pedestrian through the image. Second, the lines in the walls that aren't really noticeable in the other version are supporting features here. They get the viewer to look right at the gentleman with the flowers, and it's he who's the subject in my mind. I could go on and on, but I think I'll just add this shot to my faves in instead :-)
edited to correct sneaky swedish characters that messed up my spelling :-)
