 I took this macro of ice from a bag of ice in my freezer, holding the ice in my left hand in front of red ginger flowers and hand held the camera for the exposure. I hope I have done justice to Melanie's image that sparked my interest in taking this macro.

"From a bag of ice" ? It must have been very cold in there LOL : ) I like the suspended bubbles and the red/white in this shot. You are getting a lot of creative images for this macro challenge this month.

I'm honored that you were inspired by my shot! I think you did a fantastic job with this one. I love the variety of sizes and shapes in the bubbles here, and the choice to use the red background livens it up. Amazing that this was hand held too!

Nice shot. For future reference, you could try sitting the bag of ice on a stool in front of the background, and use a tripod. That should make for a crystal clear focused image. Just an idea.

The subject matter helps in hiding the ever so minute motion blur.
