 Shot from Mount Diablo close to sunset.

I had trouble with this shot and tried many different settings w/ aperture/ISO/shutter speeds. This was the image that turned out the best in my opinion. I would've liked more separation of the interior ridge, but I just couldn't capture it.

I cloned out some sensor dust and added slight contrast and sharpness and straightened the horizon.

The success of this is not just the photograph itself, but the experimentation you did to capture what you saw. The softness and "haziness" is perfect for what you were trying to depict, and create a pleasing photo as well.

Shows pollution well but I think I would have prefered a different crop as this loks very central, maybe lose some foreground or crop the top a bit.

Wow, definitely my favourite in this challenge. It takes a hell of a photographer to make smog look beautiful but you have managed it. Beautiful gradiated colours

I knew there was a reason I didn't like San Francisco. (Just kidding) As for the photo, it meets the criteria. I voted it above my average.

Makes me want to gag...very nice tones and submission. The fact tht you took this so far from the hidden city gives it more impact.
