You can feel the texture of the roof, and the lines guide your eye though the photo. Would have been better if you could see a chimney since that is what you were trying to portray.

Nice sharpness and detail in the roof, and I like how deadly horizontal the line a the bottom is. I think the puff of smoke looks too much like a cloud though, to really come across as pollution. If it was more on the darker grey side it would appear more dirty. Also, since the smoke is supposed to be the subject, I think it should be in focus. Overall, the composition is nice though.

Other than the title and name of the challenge, that could just be a poofy white cloud behind part of a building.

Shows pollution well but the image needs a little more contrast or color saturation. I would have perhaps cropped the bottom bit out as well.
