 Took original snail and iris and magnetic lassoed the snail, then inverted (ctrl-shift-i).
Adjusted brightness
Selected yellow part of iris which turned orange and adjusted color back to near yellow.

WOOT! Very sweet edit. I might leave just a hint of the background in the image to give it depth and add a hint of light from behind. A bit of burn on the underside of the snail and on the gold to lessen the backlight impact and this one is perfect.
