I'll have to try this shot again at some point. The drop on the right side isn't quite aligned correctly to illustrate the burst through concept I was after here. It probably would work better if there was another splash produced from the right side so that it conveyed an exit point better.

Setup:

Two flashes used. One to light the background (positioned behind the spoon) and one to light the spoon and splash located in front and off to the left (or below if you go by this rotated image).

The spoon was filled with some water. I let some water run off the edge to get a drip going underneath. I then used a turkey baster for the water drop that causes the splash.

Did you and the better half of the Toos collaborate? :-) I should have known this was yours by the signature color. Sorry about the Enzo thing, though.

Nice capture. I think, however, that a solid background would have given this image more appeal.

This is nice, but I think that I would have liked the spoon flat with the drop going down instead of sideways.

You get the IreneM award (if you aren't already ;)) I do think i would have liked it a little more rotated CCW one more time (upside down from original)

Wow, the kind of shot, I never succeed at - but why did you turn it to vertical?

A little muddy. Nice idea, though.

Changing the orientation of the picture is truly a wonderful idea. It really gave me the impression that the fork has been blasted with water coming from the side of it!
