Dry ice is some really amazing stuff and add a great effect here. I must agree the brighter (or lighter) photo does make the image jump out more. |

Definitely a cool effect from the dry ice. I will agree with the others that bumping the whites a bit in this would add a bit of pop and contrast. |

I've always wanted to try a photo with dry ice. the smoke gives an eerie haunting feel to the photo. And here, the subject, which almost looks like it could be a statute on a gravestone, it gives it even more of an "other worldly" look. I like it :) I do agree with Deb too that a little more light on the white/neutrals gives it even more pop and drama.

Deb nailed it with her comment and edit; I was going to do the same until I saw her comment. That dry ice adds a nice soft effect to the background. |

ooh, dry ice, where can I get that?
The shot looks a little slanted to me and, as others have said maybe a little flat (I too have issues with this type of subject). Deb Melethia is on the right tracks with levels adjustment to make it pop a little more (I shall find a comment of hers I don't agree with soon). |

What fun and creativity to play with the image like that. I would try to bump up the contrast here - the image could be a bit brighter. |

The texture of the angel is what gives this dimension - I don't think it's odd at all. The overall picture is a bit dark for me - adjusting the light with the levels slider just a little bit gives me this:

Not a huge change, but does bring her out a bit more.

I like the soft look of the dry ice mist behind the statue. And I agree that it could be brightened up a bit. It's hard to make out any of the lines in the angels wings since they're so dark. |

I'd agree with Steve's opinion re highlights; the whole thing seems muted really - and your white border only emphasises that. |

I've never been a fan of statue/ceramic shots. Images of inanimate objects of art don't generally get me pumped, so to speak but this does have a nice feel. In terms of the conversion it looks fine but might benefit from richer highlights...opinion, of course. Cheers. |

I like this, the dry ice effect looks pretty cool. Great title. Nice tones in the conversion. |
