Continuing on the money theme this is the edge of a UK £1 coin :o)

Almost pleased with the DOF in this one, I'll get there eventually ;o)

Editing was again very basic. Converted from RAW. Slight contrast, saturation adjustment, resize, sharpen and save :o)

LOL! I thought "phone home" before reading the caption! Nice control of the light for such a shiny object. The DOF accents your subject very well. The only thing I don't love is the background as it seems like there must be some more interesting colors to compliment the color of the coin. Then again, perhaps a dull color emphasizes the coins glitter.

The caption is great! There is a lot of detail put into your money!

My first thought is ET phone home. Sorry. I just read the title now and no longer need to apologize. The detail is wonderful with the limited DOF. I think the light might have blown out some of the detail but I do like this.

Clever title and simple but appealing.

I have no idea what the letter stand for, but I thought of the title before I even read that you'd written it! I like ZeppKash's idea about the square crop. That might work nicely. The dof here is incredibly shallow, but it works wonderfully!

*I* happen to like that DOF, but i think the crop could be better. (just my opinion) How about a square crop with the coin on a 45? just an idea...

why does a UK coin have E T on it's side? Interesting and a good macro.

A nice photo to look at, with the sharp upper side of the money, the dof, and the quiet background. Just some minor remarks: the light above the E looks a little too light and the circle in the left bottom, h'm, just don't know if it should be there. A well, forget that, just looking forward to tomorrow's money.

Very nice DOF indeed, and I like the soft muted lighting and the textures you've brought out on this one.
