Peanut m&m's... for Easter. They have critters on some of them. I liked the colors, so thought I'd try to do a macro of them. Not fascinating, but I liked the colors enough to use it for day 2.

And just as a side note, I'm using a gorillapod and it is the BEST thing in the world for macros. You can adjust a little at a time to get the focus where you want it. The person who invented that thing is a genius.

Used the 50mm lens and a reversing ring for this shot. Cropped off a tiny bit from the sides to get rid of the container they were sitting in.

mmm - me thinks I have to get some of those when I go shopping today :)
As for the shot - not bad. Maybe not so narrow DOF. I would have liked to see more in focus.

The Easter colors are a pleasing reminder of coloring eggs when I was little. I am wondering if you just used your 50mm 1.8 as normal, to shoot this, or did you reverse it or use an extension tube? Now I want to go find some M&M's.

The colors are wonderful, bright and cheery. I wish it were in clearer focus or maybe it is the DOF or the candy is blurry in and of it self and should be eaten.

I love my gorillapod also... wish I had invented it!!! I like the colors, but maybe a little grainy.

I have a Gorillapod SLR zoom for my camera when it's on the wheelchair but now I have the 40D it's just too heavy for it :o( This looks a little soft to me but great colours! I thought they were very little easter eggs at first! I have never seen M&M's with shapes on! Cool :o)
