Layers and layers of prickly barbs, if one doesn't get you the others will, ouch. The colors are amazing as is the perspective.

This is a Prickly Pear Cactus? Funny, at this distance it looks like a foam or velour ball. I like the bokeh in the background. Nice DOF and coloring.

Those are critters? Nature is amazing if you slow down and look at the details. This is composed nicely, and the DOF and sharpness is just beautiful.

As a cactus lover I like this shot. Cactus have so much detail they can make great subjects for macro images. You did a good job with this one.

Oh goodness, I see what you mean about the teeny tiny spikes!! Love the composition, colours and detail in this shot! Cactus are wonderful things with amazing intricate detail and you have shown that well here :o)
