I love the words, the somber and fragile melody they carry. Your photograph does them justice and yet leaves a wanting, a longing. Which is quite apropos, yes? |

Ahhhh Don glad you made it here. I thought we might see you around this area when this side challenge was announced.
Sheeeesh, you are making me feel like such a loser by not composing my own poetry. But ... I'll let it for you truly talented folks!
Beautiful together your two pieces of art. |

Stop making me cry! Seriously, a deeply moving poem, and well-coupled with an image that suggests loss/the lost. |

I'm struck by how the shadows and surface ripples add tension to the image, similar to the tension that runs throughout the poem. Very fine work, on all counts. |

So many levels of feeling in both the poem and the image - stirring, indeed. |

WOW - stunning. This is also reminiscent of one of my favorite melodies
the autumn leaves
drift by my window
the autumn leaves
of read and gold
I feel your lips
and summer kisses
the sunburned hands I used to hold
I won't list the entire song, but man, this is really a great way to bring emotion and words to the heart!! |
