| I love all the patterns and lines in this (from the roof to the designs on her outfit). The look on her face is priceless. Beautiful photos are made when we catch children off-guard :) |

| The thing about a candid is if your after the subject expression you rarely get to pick the surroundings and think you made the correct descision going with a shallower dof (we can still make out the great roof tiles but they dont detract from the subject imho. The rail is a little dull but guess it goes with her frame of mind. Nice spot and think B&W lends itself to her mood more than a colour shot might. |

| I think she looks a little bored...chin resting on her hand. I like the geometric shapes of the railing, and think the DOF is perfect with the roof tiles out of focus. |

Nice blur on the background and in contradiction with the busy wooden line they isolate the face and make the subject stand.

| cute candid, however there is alot of lines going on in the image that wants to keep distracting my attention from the main subject. |

I like it. I like the obvious candid nature of it. I love all the strong lines, but I really loved the artistic look of that blurred rooftop. Japanese festivals are so photogenic. I got some of my favorite photos ever at a Japanese festival we went to on a GTG in Austin last year.

| This could also be interpreted as fearful - she looks as though she's afraid to leave the safety of her railing. I like the contrast of patterns - her flowered robe, the strong lines of the railings, and the arches of the roof tiles. |
