 Shot while visiting my parents in Sun City Grand, Arizona (Phoenix) last week. I've shot this scene before for personal use, and thought it would make a great Free Study entry. This was part of a series of long exposures (anywhere from 30sec to 5 minutes in complete darkness). I was upset that there was cloud cover, as the last time I shot this it was clear - and I ended up liking the results better with the clouds :O)

This is was a single 2 minute exposure processed from RAW into 3 different lighting sets and recombined in CS3. I did the "HDR" simulation manually, as I've never really liked any of the results from the available tools.

I had lots of different images to choose from, and this might've done better cropped way in (the detail in the grass & the retaining wall is pretty awesome), but I just liked the overall feel of this composition.

Beautiful, I love what you have captured here. The colors are exquisite! The reflection of the tree in the blue waters is perfect.

Beautiful high contrasting colours. Seems cropped a bit too much on the right side but that doesn't stop it being an awesome shot.
