converted straight to black and white in raw. Slight levels adjustment and sharpened in PS. I did use a circular polarizer to get contrast in the clouds.

Good example of why a polariser is useful! I like the centered composition, it works for me. The silhouettes of the trees on the hill add to the scale of this shot.

Don't know what I think yet. I am taken with both the almost Titian-voluptuous cloud, and the simple almost delicate silhouette of bridge and chasm, but despite the similar centredness in each I don't feel a place for the viewer. It could be the bridge is too centred.

Wonderful cloud effects and the contrast rocks. I am going to diverge from the pack a little here and say that the lines of the cloud formation and what looks like a jet stream bring my eye to the bridge. However, it seems to be a long way down. Perhaps if it were little higher in the picture so that it had more presence. Actually, as I scroll my screen it looks like taking off a small portion of the very top would have the same effect. IMHO

Nice use of negative space and a very simple, yet very effective composition!

Love it! the harsh black silhouette of the bridge spanning the forest valley then that massive sky! Are those trees on the right really growing at that angle or is it barrel distortion? Does the sky look better or worse with some D&B'ing? nice one!

WOW!!! Just freakin' WOW!!! What an awesome composition! Love the silhouette against the angry sky, and the grain on the clouds really helps make it for me. VERY nice!!!

I LOVE this one. I love the minimalist effect -- and the scale the bridge gives to the photo. This is awesome!

Excellent minimalism and nifty symbolism with the bridge supporting that massive sky. But I do wonder if in order to become one of the "cool kids" if I need to start using punctuation for titles.... :-)

I like this - the stark silhouette and the minimalism work well together. Nicely done.

I always love shots with clouds like this, really great job here with the conversion, very simplistic, and very well done.

I like this image and the way the plane streaks come off of the bridge. I rarely get whispy cloud cover here in NYC...not that I would notice anyway with all the tall buildings but I need more of that in my life. Nice shot.

That's as close as I get to those heavenly looking skies. Perfect timing with my foreground...lol ;)

I like the bridge in silhouette. I also like the symmetry created by the bridge, and the hills on either side. Great sky.
