Camera: Nikon D200
Lens: Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D

I was going to name this "Best Friends Best Friend" but then I realized that Caseys NEADS harness was showing and everyone might mistake him for Karma-the-Wonder-Pup.

Gothic Glow
dodged the catchlights a bit
sharpen
some desat with masks and some curves with masks
crop

Sorry about the line right at the midway point, couldnt be helped. Casey is trained to ONLY listen to my husband... which makes him a nearly impossible subject and I had to do this in the only place he would sit still and hold RJ. He is a smooth-coat collie for all those who are curious.

The texture on this is so incredible, and the way it all seems to resolve into the central teddy bear. We know people best by knowing what they love! I mean dogs...

Very neat looking dog, however his soft focus belongs on the teddy, the dog should lead the portrait. Otherwise, very nice coloring and light. 6

Awe, very nice. Pretty doggie, love the pose! I like the softness of the light too

I feel as if you are focused on the toy not the dog.

DOF is not deep enough

your dof isnt that great

This is a really cute idea. I think it would have worked better with the dog in focus though!

Gorgeous dog!

Hehe! The only thing i would change is the focus.. more on the dog than the teddy bear... 8

What a gorgeous smoothie! His bear is remarkably well preserved. :P Wish the focus was tighter on the pup's face and less so on the toy. The ever-so-slightly out of sharp ears bother my eyes.

Got the bear, not enough dof for the dog too.
