interesting idea...though maybe its my monitor, it took a bit to see something inside the white. Did you think about adding more shadow to create more contrast?

This is more difficult than it looks. I'm afraid most folks are gonna miss the complexity. The white balance appears very good.

I really like the idea and the composition, but I bet a touch of black pepper would have made it more interesting. Nice detail in the seperate crystals :)

Even though the light/shadow and focus seem fine, the lack of dramatic contrast seems to make the shot almost washed out.
