Charlene, I was one of your 4s. I'm glad you found an appreciative audience in the folks who commented before me, though. :)

I didn't really get it, and I didn't understand the blurred reflected figures. I think the idea of capturing both the statues and the carvings is good, though.

Haunting and mesmerizing at the same time. A very good choice for this challenge. (I was one of your "7s or higher" by the way.)

Charlene this is a really cool capture. I love the bluish, ghostly tones of the etchings. Actually, the brownish reflections look kind of ghostly as well. Excellent perspective.

I find this a most interesting photo, and under-appreciated by the voters. I really like the sense of chaos, which could be a deliberate metaphor for the war. I think you should consider entering this in some different venues. It may not be the "right" kind of eye-candy shot for DPC, but has a lot of merit and is a photo of which you should be proud.

I TOLD you we should have photographed the Liberty Bell!!!

I really cant believe that this did not score better although the fact that 17 people scored it 7 or higher does show that there were people out there who really liked it

I love the fact that you managed to catch so much of the etched faces and bodies on the memorial together with glimpses of the reflections of the statues behind it

A great memory of a lovely day

What you mean Jon doesn't appreciate the significance of the Liberty Bell.
Interesting photo. I have never see the Korean War memorial although I know (or knew) men that fought over there.

Of all the memorials in Washington DC, this is the one that is closest to my heart. I think you have captured it in a new and very creative way. this is worthy of a Posthumous award.
