he's a gorgeous looking dog and this is such an excellent portrait .. love the softness and the b&w really works .. gotta love that eye .. just about to make contact .. !!..:).. |

I really like the mischevous look you captured! Works quite nicely in B&W to subdue the "living room" look and create a portrait. |

My initial thought was I didn't like the shallow DOF, but then decided it was OK, then decided I didn't like it. After spending some time with the photo it works. |

Interesting use of focus and angle. Placing the eye central and then focusing directly at it adds an element of communication between the animal and the observer. It's like I'm not really looking a picture. |

Love that look out of the corner of the eye! Not sure about the soft focus (it makes me dizzy looking too long at it), but I like the portrait in general very much. |
