Well, obviously, it isn't as good as the original, but then of course its score was much bigger, so that was a given. Neat image, so to speak, and you have a fine handle on the grammer, linguistically speaking (so to speak) etc. etc.

I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but my preference is actually the original photo. There's something particularly spooky in that one with it looking like the kitty is ready to leap at you. This one it looks like kitty is ready to scratch out the carpet. Nice imitation of color tho!

This cat doesn't look mad. He looks like he's eating a treat you left on the floor for him! But you certainly did match the colors well.

very cool that you kept the colors the same as the original - i think you could have gotten sharper focus maybe with a faster shutter speed or more light - great composition... it must have been tough to get your cat to stay in one spot long enough for a quick snap

IMHO the idea is to take a shot and improve on it, to me this isn't much of an improvement, though at least with your shot the cat does actually look angry.

LOL, almost as good as the original. the challenge was to make it better, your image has the same cruel processing, but the POV is less interesting
