 Eighteen months ago, my two daughters begged us to get gerbils. So we did.

Two weeks ago, my 10-year-old begged us to get a guinea pig. She laid out her reasons in a nicely formatted Word document with lots of pretty colors.

Yes, we're suckers for a well-reasoned argument. And colors.

What a little cutie! I love photographing guinea pigs because other than moving their heads a bit to look at you from another angle they pretty much sit still. And they're adorable, IMO. I think I'd prefer a background that wasn't so overwhelmingly bright with her more subtle coloration, but still a nice shot.

Aww, what a cutie-pie!! Guinea pigs hold a special place in my heart and I'm glad to see some in this challenge. Love the different-colored feet!
