As you are already painfully aware, the lighting is a bit harsh. It is a great example of the flower though, perfectly formed, colourful and not yet starting to wither like myself. I actually have a thin, white umbrella that I have used in situations like this to shield the flower from the direct light and give it a softer, diffused look. |

Wonderful vibrant color! And yes, shooting at midday or in bright sunshine can give harsh shadows, but sometimes the colors are just so gorgeous then. |
