Very nice detail here, good focus and use of dof. I like the composition as well. One could think the backside of the bird is on the back cover. :-) |

This one could easily be a cover. The curvature of the feathers, the way your eye leads up to the top wing (just below where the mast would be) and the space at the top and left side all work for a magazine cover. This one's my pick. |

Cool bird but weird crop, even for a magazine cover. Love how you stopped the pelican in motion. The distal feathers are very clear. |

Good crop. I know it must have been tempting to make this a "landscape" orientation but that wouldn't be a mag cover (which are portriat). Very good. |

This is beautiful!!!! I love the curves of the wing feathers. Lovely, lovely picture and it seems very suitable for a magazine cover. I'm not an expert, but as a consumer, this would attract my attention. Good luck. I can't vote, but if I could you'd get a 10. |

It's a good shot with plenty of room for title and blurbs. Exposure and color is good on the bird, but it could have done with a tad more sharpness. |

Extraordinary composition. This shot gives me kind of a weight-less feeling. Congratulations! Good colours. |

Love this. I find that many nature magazines have this kind of photo for their cover with the animal sort of flying into the picture. Very well thought of and you even left space for the title. A ten! |

lovely shot, I love the spread on the feathers, but I would have like to have seen more of the pelican, but no points taken off for that...its still a great photo |
