This was my favorite picture from this challenge. I love the composition of it just the way it is. Do you have a picture of the rest of the statue? My curiosity is killing me.

No curves - no impact on me

Strong composition! I feel as if the hand was going to grab me. The lighting gives it more life.

a very strong image, though I would've not as much centered the hand, but maybe moved it over to the left as to get more of the arm.

the space at the bottom is good-it implies downward motion, or potential at least; good lighting; nice subject; what does it say to me....hm, I dunno.

The composition feels a little top-heavy to me, but it's a really striking picture regardless! Try bumping it down a little, maybe? Blacker blacks might make it pop more, as well.

Yikes!

Wow, I really love this photo. Even with "curves" on the mind, though, I don't find it extremely curvy.

nice idea. this will get high marks. Nice that you didn't just center the hand, gives it space to grab something.

The lighting is perfect.. great photo. :)

Beautiful! Nice play of light and shadows. Just how big is this anyway??

i tried some shots with hands but didnt find them to be that curvey, as they are made up of straight segments.

WOW, what a shot! This is so cool! Great focus and color.

Excellent shadows, lighting, and contrast!! I love the hand looking like it's going to pluck something out of the sky! Where is this? I'd like to sit around here someday and wait for a bird to fly into the shot right by the hand's open fingers... =)

i love the strength of this, and the lighting ...now, if you'd managed to depict someone's head in it's grasp i'da given you a 10!

I actually think this one captures the human form better than the nude shots. The framing is right on. Very good representation of curves.

good exp and detail but don't think verfy curvy?

pretty nice shot. i like the fact that the hand is positioned more toward the top of the photo; it gives it the illusion of coming down to grab you. i'd love to see this entire sculpture and see if anything is attached to that hand.

nice detail in highlights and shadows. good blue sky.
04/08/2002 09:28:00 AM
Nice composition.

made interesting by being out of context, draws the eye in wonder, what the ...?
04/08/2002 08:32:00 AM
Good framing!

Should have thrown a ball in and taken the picture then :)

The only complaint i could possibly make about this photo is that the top of the hand is a little too close to the edge of the frame. Other than that, this is a VERY nice photograph.... Nice composition and the shadows really make this work for me... Kudos to the photographer...
