I'm sorry, I really don't get a feeling of peace from this. He is standing there in a harsh environment blocking he way forward for the viewer. I see his stance as confrontational.

Beautiful portrait. Nice lighting. Would like to see him not cut off at the ankle. But I am not sure what it has to do with peace.

Great shot, and I like the feel from the slight desaturation. Not sure I'm getting "peace" from it though...
