 This is my first entry to a DPC challenge.

I was driving in the southern part of Iceland, it had been raining heavily, and I was scanning something to shoot. Suddenly I saw a semi-frozen lake, with some rocks protruding from it. I pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed my camera, got as close to the lake as I could, and shot a few frames.

Converted to grayscale, added some blue tint and gaussian blur.

I like the way the rocks break the foreground and to one side, while the sea is calm, the waiting give a more anxious feeling than peaceful.

I like the circle of rocks on the left playing off the one to the right. It does seem peaceful to me. I'm not sure what you are waiting for.

Very nice feeling to the composition and the exposure is good. I would like to have most (maybe around 75%) of the sky cropped out.
