Thank you all for your votes. Again, this is my highest placing yet!
In answer to some of your questions.
No, not tricky photography, although I dont think you mean't it like that. It was right place right time. In fact I had time to get a better position, and then wait for them to look in the right direction.
The boat was a shame, but I managed to position it between the posts. There was actually 5 birds in a row, but there would have been 1 blank post, and they would have been smaller. |

Yes, this is a good one. Lots of interest here. The gulls (blackheaded)? the white-painted posts and the struts are all you need.. I think the boat on the other side is a bit unfortunate, but you have to take these pictures when you can. |

Great capture. I wonder how long you had to wait for all 4 bird to be just right! |

Odd Numbers usually have more impact than evens but this works with the boat in the background. Nice image. |

Nicely framed shot, although I think it could do with a little less exposure. |

Yes, posted by gulls. Funny and good. Meets the challenge of course. Technically pretty good. |

Good image..might have had even more impact from a different angle which excluded the boat. Although I know that these sort of subjects don`t tend to sit around till your ready.

Great composition. Certainly meets the challenge. My highest vote so far. Would have scored it higher if the background colours were more vivid. Just my opinion. |

Great picture, great composition. Too bad the background isn't more blurry, the boat is a bit distracting now. |
