Excuse the pun but cool image :) Earlier comments talked about more foreground but I think this might look even better with less fg. Maybe a little burning of the outer branches to make the image pop a little more? I really like this shot.

Man - I love this. It's stunningly stark.

You have allowed the trees to speak, to have their winter conversation which they alone can understand.

Great high contrast shot, the PP really adds to the desolate winter look. Nice use of negative space as well!

Nice austere look.

Nice and clean. It's got that cold, wintry feel. Great job with the high contrast.

Oh yes! I LOVE this! I love the high contrast! I love the clean crisp wintery feel. This is awesome!

Wow. This image has quite an impact. My first impression is barren and winter all at once. I tend to zoom in on everything so it is great to see the impact that the negative space can add, so I like the use of negative space and keeping the ground & trees in the lower half.

stark. barren. desolate. Those are the words that jump out when i look at this. There is enough to keep the interest, but a very minimalist feeling to the image. I like it.

Nice, I think I prefer it the way it is. Showing more ground and less sky makes it a very different image. Here the bare trees really stand out reaching into the sky. You will lose that if you show more of the ground and less of the sky. Although you could go both ways and have two good images. Sort of a two for one.

What a very nice use of a macro lens. :) I like this. It's simple and elegant and rather warming for some odd reason, despite the obvious chill. It just seems very comfortable, if that makes sense. And of course perfect in black and white.

oh nice, i like the contrast alot. maybe if you got a little higher and got more ground and less sky
