| Too muted and soft. The kitty is soft, the carpet is soft, the focus is soft. I don't see the excercise of juxtaposing "textures." |

| very nice, good sharp focus on the face and eyes, like the dof, the only thing is that bottom left corner seems like it should be blurred out a little more, it's a bit distracting, overall nice shot |

| a better picture, the darkness of the fur doesn't help show the fur too well although the colored areas do, maybe a tighter shot of the head would have been better |

| Well, it's in focus which is better than the original! I think, for me, this would have needed to be more of a sleepy/relaxing cat than a wide awake cat with an intense stare. It's difficult to know how much of a change should be made from the original so this is just my take on this challenge :o) |
