hehe, love the riders 'oh sh*t* expression. Normaly I'd want this to be tack sharp with an oof bg but it sort of works as it is, kind of gritty and a capture of the moment. The thin horizontal line across his chest is a little distracting to me though. |

I posted this on another photo on here but I think it applies here in regards to level horizons.
I was talking to my aunt one day who is a muralist in SF and she was asking me about what I look for in a shot and how I edit. And I told her some stuff and usually I try to have a straight even horizon. And she asked why, and I had no good answer, I think mostly its been drilled into me surfing here and on the web. She said that often horizons produced by artists that aren't level are meant to make the viewer feel that they are walking through the scene. Because when you are walking you are never really that straight up and down and the horizon would not be perfectly level. I
Sometimes I don't think horizons don't need to be straight.
I think this would also look good with some sepia toning. |

Just love your stop-action here - excellent shot. I'm thinking a closer crop might make it even more dynamic - just a thought. |

cool action shot, I like the texture as it gives this an old picture feel which goes well with the rodeo theme. nicely done! |

It's a great action shot with the cowboys expression and the bronc in mid-stride. However, it took a moment for my eyes to zero in on the cowboy and bronco as they are clumped together with the BG. Maybe some more contrast or DOF to get those guys to stand out. Or maybe, instead of darkening the BG... what would would it look like if you lightened the BG? |

Nice action photo - the straight on perspective makes it harder to appreciate, as opposed to a side view. |

It's level enough - I wouldn't have noticed if you didn't mention it. I'm also not noticing the texture, which means it's pretty well integrated into the shot. I really like the action captured and I like the fact you caught a bit of the crowd in the background. |

Great action shot - all four feet off the ground and the rider hanging on gritting his teeth. I'd like to see the rider's details a bit closer - maybe a portrait crop to keep the horse & rider in frame might work? |

This is a great action shot, you can almost smell the dust! In this case I do not think that being unlevel hurts the image, just gives it more of a sense of movement. |
