this guy was crazy, he jumped from 10m tower with twists and flips and stuff and i was already afraid standing there having to look down through the finder...LOL

but huge thanks to the high diving team for letting me take some shots during their training.

Very cool triptych. Love the dark tones and highlights. My fave one is on the left where it seems like he is looking at you.

Excellent idea and execution my good man :) Love all 3 shots and would like to see the centre image as a standalone shot, excellent capture as he left the board but he'd only get a 9 from me as his hands are not perfectly symetrical ;)

So if he was on the 10m tower, where were YOU?? That must have taken some guts to take a photo straight down like that. Love your triptych and processing - with the black water. Excellent.

Very expressive, and different from watching live. Here you feel the concentration and muscles, and the arms really stand out and make me think of our desire to fly. Love the dark water, and how scary it must be for the photographer.

Great job putting these together. What a great perspective you got to take these with. I really love the center shot, perfect timing.

What an interesting design the triptych made. It looks like a synchronized performance. I love the focus with not a grounded body one. Beautiful!

I'd be nervous, too, holding my camera above water like that! Great perspective.

Very cool action shots Christoph. Just curious, were you using an off camera flash? at what speed were you shooting?

This is excellent, the perspective is really what makes it work well.

Great triptych! Well, I suppose everyone needs a "platform" for things we are passionate about! :)

very cool, I love the left one but I think the one on the left is special because he looks as if he's looking straight at you.

in the middle one he's "only" jumping from 5m while i'm lying prone on the 10m shooting straight down (i almost wet my pants ;D).
i asked him for that exact pose and it came out exactly how i imaginged it in my head.
actually i got the whole idea for these shots from this picture of mine:

this above shot was more or less a lucky snap shot, but after a while i thought, that it would be cool to have someone in that exact same pose, but from the angle of standing directly behind or above the jumper, and that's how i got the idea.

in the side ones of this tryptich he jumped from the 7,5m tower which was a little to the left, which explains the slightly sloped angle.

edit cus i can't type ;)

If he's jumping from the 10m, where the heck are you? And vertigo would be a problem for me with these shots - kinda disorienting. LOVE what you've done with the triptych in B&W - really shows the form very well, including the slight angle on the side shots which balances out nicely. Excellent series.

My dad used to do that in his heyday. I love it.
