| the thing I learn and remind myself from this photo is how color can overwhelm textures, especially subtle ones such as clouds and water |

| This does not look at all as sunrise in b&w but it's very calm and peaceful and this is what makes the shot. Very beautiful. |

| I tend to be a sucker for nice sunrises/sets but actualy prefehis shot in B&W, simple yet so effective! I agree with Trevor that it might appeal a little more if the land didn't break the image as centrally as this. Excellent shot :) |

| You were my inspiration for my Sole Survivor shot that I got my last ribbon with. I like the way you see the bare bones landscapes and make everything soft to focus on what you want us to see. |

| I like this, it's nice and simple. I wonder if using the rules of thirds could help make the compositon even more interesting, bu tI do lik eit the way it is as well. |

| Reducing a view to its most simple is often the key to capturing the best image. You remind me that some locations are especially good for doing so and that the long view sometimes excels. |

Germaine!!! Wow! This is so beautiful. I love everything about this. The soft look created by the expert use of the blurs, the negative space on top and bottom, the simlicity of the lines.
Think I better add this one to my favorites -- because it is!

| I really didn't think that I was going to like this when looking at the thumbnail, but the larger version is awesome! The soft surface and gaussian blur really sets this off. I love the water! Great job on the processing. |
