Crop, remove a hot pixel, contrast, brightness, shadows, sharpen.
This challenge gave me fits. 75 shots of a piece of bread (and all its attendant crumbs...ugh!) and I still struggled in post processing to get something submittable.
The glass is an upside down shot glass, which I'd been using behind the bread to hold it up. Just for kicks, I put it in front of the bread for about 2 of the 75 shots, never thinking this would be the one that got submitted. I still don't love the result, but it's 8 minutes to deadline, and I've got nothin' else.
FYI, the bread isn't toasted at all. It's just whole wheat bread backlit. |

| That toast looks a bit overdone. Besides that, the tonality of the image is pleasent. I am not sure about the glass in front, but overall the image is not bad. |

| The toast looks burnt but maybe that's why I like it so much. Kinda adds contrast to the colors. One of my top ten. Great shot. |
