Challenge: Panning (Basic Editing)
Camera: Canon EOS-30D
Lens: Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS
Location: Hyde Park Corner, London
Date: Feb 12, 2008
Aperture: f8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/30th
Date Uploaded: Feb 12, 2008

Shot at Hyde Park Corner and got stopped and searched by the police whilst doing it.

It was actually too bright so I had to stop down to f8, which reduced the blurring of the background. I couldn't think of a good name for this either.

PP: convert from raw, noise ninja, levels, border, resize, usm, jpg.

Post Challenge: I'm actually pretty upset this didn't even break a 6. WTF is up with those 1, 2 and 3s??? This clearly meets the challenge, the subject is sharp, there is motion blur, there is leading space...even if you don't like it, it's not a BAD photo. Really gets on my tits that the SC don't do anything about these people.

I really like the back room of a shot, it adds to the feel of motion.

Really sharp, great stuff. Composition is the only thing letting it down, placed back more to the left to position it on the thirds or even a close up might have been worth considering - this would also eliminate all the empty space in the top half of the frame

Curious, was this shot from a moving car? In any case nice shot. I like the background you captured your subject in and the lighting is really good.

the lines from the bricks in the background are nice, and I get a sense of motion in this one.
