 Shooting nearly into the sunset gave the rim lighting, convert from RAW, black and white conversion with Greg Gorman's LAB technique but using normal for the color fill mode and just black instead of duotoning, a levels adjustment layer to lighten a tad, unsharp mask, save for web.

The horses are off center and make a good focal point which makes this a succesfull photo

The background doesn't look like it's moveing a lot, but the horses are still really clear and visable

This is a pretty shot. Great lines & lighting. The shutter speed is a little fast for me as the motion blur is very subtle for a panning challenge (could almost be mistaken for strong bokeh). Still, this deserves high marks overall.

This is a beautiful picture and it has nice contrast between the horses and the background but it would be nice to see te background more out of focus to emphasize the horses.
