Now the challenge is over I came back to see what images I really missed out on when voting. Your photo is one of them. For some reason, I can really enjoy the rich colour and movement so much more now that it is not side by side with other challenge photos.

91 and a score below 5... I'll never get to understand the crowd here. One of the best in the challenge imo - a great shot indeed.
The border might have been the problem for some of the voters (and it is a little too much), but I still dont understand that it didn't do better than this.

Thank you all for taking the time to comment. This shot was more of an accident than it was intentional, but sometimes accidental captures are worth saving. I didn't realize that the size of the border would have so much impact on the voters, but I learned something important from those respondents who felt it was overpowering.

I like this shot. The border is a little strong for my taste, but I do enjoy the colours. 8.

This picture would have stronger panning if there wa a focal point. Also the border is distracting.

Holy giant border Batman! That's a gigantic and distracting border. I appreciate that you probably used a longer shutter than any other horse shot entered (and perhaps longer than 97% of all shots entered), still, the subject is too blurry for me. On the other hand, this does have a nice impressionistic effect.

This would be an amazing photograph is something was in focus! The subject looks very interesting and it does create a feeling of movement. I like all the horizontal lines that add to that feeling of speed too.

That's actually a very interesting panning shot. While usually it is quite annoying having the subject be blurry, i think it helps give this image a surreal look.

A little too blurry for me, otherwise I love it! The colors are great!

first thing I noticed was the very imposing border. it does not add anyting to the shot at all. I think it takes away from a nice shot actually. the yellows are very nice. I would have scored this higher, since it used a very long shutter speed, which is not easy to do.

I understand panning and the goal and while this seems to NOT present the "expected" outcome of the challenge described (as I understand it) - you offer an excellent photo! This is a day at the races! 10 from me. This offers a wonderful story.

One of the best imo - excellent :)

Panning but obstructed by the motion blur. The heavy frame is overbearing, and emphasizes the tight crop at the bottom. Wonder if you've got a free study from that shoot? :-)
